Review

I am still completely shocked at how little I remembered of the Percy Jackson series in general, but especially in this final book! So much stuff happened that I didn’t even remember, from the final battle with Kronos and his army starting way faster than I expected to the ending.

That Last Olympian has a little bit of a journey, but most of the book covers the battle with Kronos’s army, which is a lot harder and takes a lot longer than you might expect. I suppose if it didn’t, though, the book would be kind of boring!

I had forgotten completely what the title referred to, but I thought it was really interesting. There’s a twist with Percy’s friend, Rachel, and there’s a spy in their camp that is passing secrets to Kronos. I had even forgotten who that was!

Other than a couple of minor details, even the ending surprised me! However, I still really enjoyed reading The Last Olympian and thought that it was a great series ender. However, it also has a twist at the end that sets the stage very nicely for the spin-off series!
