My name is DeAnna, and I am a 28-year-old (yikes) stay-at-home mom to three little girls, ages 7, 5, and 2. When I’m not catering to their every need or chauffeuring them around, I use most of my free time to read.
I have always loved to read, but I’ve often gone in spurts, reading constantly for a month or two and then not picking up another book for several months. I’ve also always loved to reread favorites. I don’t even know how many times I’ve read The Boxcar Children, Little House on the Prairie, Number the Stars, The Outsiders, or several of R.L. Stine’s Fear Street books. In 2009, a couple friends recommended I read Twilight, and my love of reading was rekindled. I have read at least one book per month (usually more) since then.
I tend toward YA, with an emphasis on Paranormal or Dystopian. I also will read other books if they sound interesting (or have a certain name attached), though I tend to not be much of a Romance fan. I typically shy away from Horror novels (because I’m a wimp), but I have recently started to branch out a little into YA Horror.
